Stitch Series: Sewing Basics (Oct 6, 9, 13, 16)
This class is perfect for complete beginners or anyone who hasn’t sewn in a while. Each session is designed to build your skills, boost your confidence, and help you become comfortable with a sewing machine. You'll learn essential techniques while creating practical projects. Class 1: Sewing Machine Basics & Simple Projects
Get comfortable with a sewing machine while learning about machine safety, threading, and basic functions. You'll practice sewing straight lines and working with seam allowances by making a scrunchie and a lanyard.
Class 2: Pillowcase with French Seams
Learn the art of French seams as we create a simple yet stylish pillowcase. This technique will help you finish edges neatly and professionally.
Class 3: Fabric Tray & Interfacing
Explore the use of interfacing to give your projects structure. You'll make 2-3 fabric trays, learning how to add stability and durability to your creations.
Class 4: Fully Lined Drawstring Bag
Finish off the series by making a fully lined drawstring bag, complete with a casing and drawstring. This project will put everything you've learned together and help you master the art of creating professional finishes.
Class policies:-Your spot will not be reserved in the class until payment is made in full. -All students or their Parents/Guardians must sign a waiver before participating in class activities.-Hana Sew reserves the right to cancel a class at any time. If we do so, you'll be issued a full refund.-No-shows will be charged full price. -If you need to reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible.
